    The Local Governing Committee at St. Joseph's is, like most Governing Committees, with volunteers drawn from three discreet groups who bring to the school a range of skills and expertise to assist in its governance.

    The structure of the Local Governing Committee is made up of Foundation Governors, elected by the Diocese of Brentwood,  Parent Governor, elected by parents,  Staff Governor, elected by staff; this also includes the Headteacher. Governors serve one term of office, (one term is four years). The Local Governing Board meet at least once per term along with the subcommittees of The Finance Working Party, Curriculum and Personnel. The Admission committee meets annually.
