If your child was born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015, you must apply for their secondary school place between Monday 1st September 2025 and Friday 31st October 2025.

Below you will find information about some potential Secondary Schools, their Open Evenings and a link to their latest prospectus (if available).

Please ensure you read each school's admissions criteria before applying.

You are invited to name up to six preferences. You must name the schools in the order that you prefer them, with your most preferred school named first. All preferences are given equal weight and schools will not know your order of preference on your application. You do not gain any advantage if you name only one or two preferences, or if you name the same school more than once. If you are not offered a place at your preferred school, then the Local Authority will allocate a place based on the school places that are left.

Parents will be notified of which Secondary School place their child has been offered on Monday 2nd March 2025 via email or post, depending on parental preference.

In July 2026, Year 6 children will have a transition week or some transition days at their Secondary School.

There will be no more open evenings for the 2025-2026 academic year.
