If your child was born between 1 September 2013 and 31 August 2014, you must apply for their secondary school place between 2 September 2024 and 31 October 2024.

Below you will find information about some potential Secondary Schools, their Open Evenings and a link to their latest prospectus (if available).

Please ensure you read each school's admissions criteria before applying.

You are invited to name up to six preferences. You must name the schools in the order that you prefer them, with your most preferred school named first. All preferences are given equal weight and schools will not know your order of preference on your application. You do not gain any advantage if you name only one or two preferences, or if you name the same school more than once. If you are not offered a place at your preferred schools then the Local Authority will allocate a place based on the school places that are left.

We strongly advise attending the Open Evenings/Days of any schools you are interested in. 

Parents will be notified of which Secondary School place their child has been offered on Monday 3rd March 2025 via email or post, depending on parental preference.

In July 2025 Year 6 children will have a transition week or some transition days at their Secondary School.
